I don't know what that is on her beak. A blood blister maybe?

A New Bird For Me

At first I thought this was a regular House Finch; however, upon looking closer I discovered a new bird I have never before seen - a Purple Finch.

Clearly there are two birds in this next photo... (The other is a female Hairy Woodpecker)

But there are also two birds in this photo. Can you see it? What is it?

Sometimes photos where the bird is not front and center are more interesting to me than when the bird fills the whole frame, especially when the bird stands out in its surroundings, such as these Cardinals:
